The frame size is the first choice on every bike. Start with your height, then check the stand-over clearance.
Adult bikes (road, gravel, city, e-bike, mountain, cargo)
| Builder size | Seat tube | Rider height | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| XXS 46 | 46 cm | 150 to 158 cm | smallest wheels-to-rider fit, short reach |
| XS 49 | 49 cm | 156 to 165 cm | |
| S 52 | 52 cm | 163 to 172 cm | |
| M 54 | 54 cm | 170 to 178 cm | the most ordered size |
| L 56 | 56 cm | 176 to 185 cm | |
| XL 58 | 58 cm | 183 to 191 cm | |
| XXL 61 | 61 cm | 189 to 200 cm | longest reach and stack |
Mountain bikes are measured from the bottom bracket to the top of the seat tube as well, so the same table applies; the frames are shorter but longer in reach.
Kids bikes
The kids frames have 20-inch wheels. The builder size sets the saddle and handlebar range:
| Builder size | Rider height | Age (about) |
|---|---|---|
| XXS 46 | 110 to 120 cm | 5 to 6 |
| XS 49 | 115 to 125 cm | 6 to 7 |
| S 52 and up | 120 to 135 cm | 7 to 9 |
Between two sizes?
Choose the smaller frame for a sportier, lower position and the larger one for comfort on long rides. Saddle height and handlebar position adjust by 2 to 4 cm on every bike.
Check at home
- Stand-over: at least 2 cm between you and the top tube when you stand over the bike (road, gravel, mountain).
- Step-through and city frames: seated, you should reach the ground with the balls of both feet.
- Reach: with your hands on the bar, your elbows should be slightly bent.
