Can I upload my own photos?
Yes. Open the designer from the product page, choose Add image and pick your photos. JPG and PNG work best. For a page-size picture, aim for at least 2,000 pixels on the longer side.
Can I upload a finished print file instead?
Yes. Choose Upload my print-ready file under Artwork on the product page. The trim size, bleed and safe zone of every format are shown in the designer.
Will I see the book before I pay?
You see the cover and the first spread in the designer. The preview is flat; on a real hardcover the cover wraps round the spine, so keep titles away from the folded edge.
Can you lay the book out for me?
Yes. Choose Hire a designer under Artwork. Send us your photos and a few notes after checkout and we send a proof before printing.
Books and pages
What is the difference between layflat, hardcover and softcover?
In a layflat book the pages open completely flat, so a photo can cross the middle of the spread. A hardcover has a rigid cover and stands on a shelf. A softcover is flexible and the most affordable. See the sizes guide.
How many pages can I choose?
Layflat books have 24 to 80 pages, hardcovers 20 to 80, softcovers 20 to 64, guest books and journals 60 to 140. Pages are counted per side, so 24 pages are 12 spreads.
Ordering and delivery
How long does an order take?
Printing and binding take 3 to 5 business days after we approve your file. Standard delivery adds 3 to 5 business days, express 1 to 2.
Is there a minimum order?
No. One book is fine. Prices per book fall at 3, 6 and 12 books (5, 10 and 25 for softcovers and journals).
Do you ship outside the United States?
We ship within the United States at the moment. Write to us before you order for an address abroad.
Care and quality
What if my book arrives damaged or the print is wrong?
Send us a photo within 30 days and we reprint it or refund you. See Returns and refunds.
