The portrait book (216 x 279 mm) is the shape of a magazine page. It suits vertical photos, a full-page picture with a caption, or a recipe and photo collection. Pages are printed on a digital press and bound in the workshop. Pictures need at least 200 dpi at print size; the designer warns about small ones, and pages near the spine lose a few millimetres.
