A poster is seen from a distance, so the rules are a little different from a flyer. Start with the final size and keep the most important text large: a headline that is readable from three metres away is at least 5 cm tall on an A1 poster.
Add 0.125 in of bleed on every side and keep texts and logos inside the safe zone. Our online designer shows both lines, so you can see where the paper will be trimmed.
Use pictures with enough pixels: 150 dpi at the final size is the minimum for a poster that is seen from a few steps away. Check every side in the preview of the online designer before you order.
