Choose the bag
- Tote bag: natural cotton canvas, 15 x 16 inches (Large 18 x 18), print area 10 x 10 inches.
- Shopper bag: white cotton canvas with long black handles, 15 x 16 inches (Large 18 x 18), print area 10 x 10 inches.
- Drawstring bag: white cotton, 14 x 18 inches (Large 16 x 20), print area 9 x 9 inches.
- Zip pouch: natural cotton canvas, 9.5 x 6.5 inches (Large 11 x 7.5), print area 5.5 x 5.5 inches.
Prepare your own file
- Size: the print area of your bag (see above), at 300 dpi. A tote design of 10 x 10 inches is 3000 x 3000 pixels.
- Smaller pictures work too: from 1500 pixels a design still looks sharp on a bag. The designer warns you when a picture is too small.
- Safe zone: keep text and logos 6 mm inside the print area (the dotted line in the designer), away from seams and handles.
- Format: PNG with a transparent background, or PDF. Maximum 20 MB.
- Text: at least 10 pt; very thin lines can disappear in the fabric.
Tips for a good print on fabric
- Bold shapes and clear lettering read best from a distance.
- On natural canvas, white areas of your design take the canvas color. Use the white shopper or drawstring bag for designs with white.
- For two sides, make the back simple: a logo or a short line.
